Maison Lejaby: the Pleasure and Liberty of the “Lightness” collection

Gaby Viannay started what would become Maison Lejaby (originally inspired by Le Gaby) in 1930. Inspired by technical innovations in fabric, Maison Lejaby was among the first to use nylon, lycra and eventually microfibers.

Yet, while building on their history and savoir-faire, Maison Lejaby has renewed itself from top to bottom, bringing in new leadership and design teams to create a business that is completely contemporary, and very much in sync with the modern customer.

Their Spring Summer 2019 campaign is a prime example of that. The inspiration for this collection was Lightness: an ethereal quality in the fabrics underlines the notions of pleasure and liberty and airiness…The collection features four main themes, SIN in which leaves evoke the garden of Eden; VIBES a dramatic graphic on tulle, WHISPER in lace that weaves a most delicate web; and KARMA which supports the most generous sizes with a refined lace.

Maison Lejaby has taken the historic codes of French Lingerie – lace and seduction - and created a brand which is both comfortable and sensual, AND breathtaking in its modernity.
